Amy Schumer Says John Cena Was âActually Inside Herâ During X-Rated Scene
Amy Schumer has claimed that John Cena was âactually inside herâ while filming an intimate scene for a movie.
Schumer, portraying a commitment-phobic party girl named Amy, starred alongside Cena in the 2015 romantic comedy Trainwreck.
Her character is reluctant to embrace monogamy but finds herself entangled in a series of relationships, including one with Cenaâs character, Steven, a devoted gym enthusiast.
Their on-screen romance led to a particularly memorable and racy scene, which the two actors have since discussed on multiple occasions.

Schumer previously shared her astonishment at Cenaâs physique, saying (per the Daily Star): âItâs a whole universe, that butt⊠Itâs not even human. It felt like having a refrigerator on top of me.â
Jokingly, she added: âI think it was probably harder for him. He had to, like, do something. I just did what I usually do when I have s**. Just lay there.â
The comedian also shared one significant regret from the experience: âYou know what? I didnât get to feel his balls. Itâs a major regret of mine. Major regret.â
On the other hand, Cena described filming the scene as âawkward.â
In a 2015 interview with Conan, the professional wrestler admitted: âIt was awkward. And they wanted awkward, so we gave them awkward.â

During an appearance on Shannon Sharpeâs Club Shay Shay podcast, Cena elaborated on the challenges of shooting the scene.
He recalled how the production team informed him he would be performing an exaggerated comedic s** sequence instead of delivering lines.
âAmy is an angel, she made the environment so comfortable,â Cena said. âAnd then when I got the part, eventually they were like, âYeah, itâs a s** scene. We want you to do elaborate and crazy stunt s**, and all those lines you had? Weâre probably not going to use them, weâre just going to do this stunt s** scene.ââ
Despite having experience performing in front of crowds due to his wrestling background, Cena admitted that acting in a s** scene was an entirely different challenge.
The actor explained: âThis is the thing â right now, you guys at home think itâs just us. No, thereâs a whole f***ing world back here.â
He described the environment on set: âCatering was right there, and the sound tent was right there. There are so many people you need to make a movie. There is nothing intimate about it. Nothing. So itâs real embarrassing.
âThey were literally like, âTry to have the most awkward s** you possibly can.â And with an audience watching that, itâs different.
âI donât want to say it sucks. Itâs just different than you all think it is.â

Following the podcast, Schumer playfully responded via her Instagram Stories, posting a video of herself in bed with a caption that read: âJohn, how dare you.â
She jokingly added: âThat s** scene meant a lot to me, and I was, like, very into it. And Iâm in love with you.â
Cena also revealed he was hesitant to tell his then-partner, WWE star Nikki Bella, about the scene beforehand.
In a past interview, he admitted: âNicole had every right to be upset because I didnât tell her about it at first. I never really approached her with âIâm trying to do this thing.â
âNicole had every right to be mad because I should have told her from the beginning.â
But Schumer, too, has shared some BTS secrets about the scene.

When asked during an Australian talk show how she managed to keep a straight face while filming the s** scene, Schumer quipped: âBecause he was actually inside me. Who am I to stop him?â
Though clearly a joke, her comment added to the humor surrounding their onscreen dynamic.
Co-star Bill Hader, present during the discussion, chimed in, adding: âWrestlers, theyâre not faking. When theyâre wrestlers, they donât fake!â
To which Schumer humorously responded: âItâs real.â
